From a love of baking to 48 BAKES ♡

The story behind 48 BAKES ♡

From a very young age, I have always had a great love for baking. I often baked together with my mother and loved spending time in the kitchen. For me, baking is deeply nostalgic; as a child, there was hardly anything I enjoyed more than baking and creating something new.

During primary school and later in secondary school, my mother and I had a little tradition: whenever I received a good report card and had achieved nice grades, I was allowed to bake a cake. To me, that was honestly the best reward I could have asked for. Whether it was a cake, cupcakes or something else, I simply wanted to be in the kitchen creating something.

Over the years, baking remained my hobby. I kept learning by experimenting on my own and, of course, by watching endless baking videos and programmes on YouTube. 🧁

At the end of April 2025, 48 BAKES started very spontaneously. Someone asked me to make engagement cupcakes, and I decided to simply give it a try. The cupcakes were such a success, people loved how they looked and tasted, that I started receiving more and more requests to make something for them as well.

What began as a small idea quickly grew into a hobby that got a little out of hand, and eventually became 48 BAKES. ♡

Now I can finally say that something I already loved so much as a little girl has grown into something of my very own. 💕
